We are Community Wines, an on-line retailer and distributor started by Brad Widelock and Francie Salle, two Marin County teachers. We believe wine should be affordable, fun and free of pretense. Our opinion is that wine isn’t just for experts – it’s for everyone! We sell wines that are representative of the places they are made and the people who make them.
We believe that wine is best when it’s shared with friends. We started this business so that we could share the wines we have enjoyed with our friends with as many people as possible. We also want to take you off the beaten path and on to the wine road less traveled. There are so many hidden gems in the world of wine, and we love seeking them out and bringing them to a larger audience.
Our goal is to get to know you and your tastes, so we can guide you toward wines that you would like. Are you hosting a birthday party, a book group or a potluck dinner? Let us know what you’re serving and the wines you’ve enjoyed in the past, and we’ll find you a perfect match that you probably won’t find at your local retailer. We search out great values, and most of our wines are under $20.
